A particular colleague will be leaving by the end of this week.
She will be setting up her own school to pursue her dream form of education in another country.
So I decided to make some stuufs for her to thank her for these 5 months of friendship.
A hand carved name stamp… and I had stamped it at every page of a memo pad to give to her too.
She is also a piggy lover andso I made this handphone dangle.
I worked out the pattern myself and am darn proud of it.
Hope she will like them
I have to apologise yet again for my no posts here.
I have been over at my main blog most of the time (when I have the time… that is.)
Crafting is rather limited at the moment… so this particular crafting blog is neglected.
When I do craft and has the time to blog, I just do that in my main personal blog.
I still want to keep this craft blog alive so I will just have to try harder.
I got to learn a new craft… rubber stamps crafting.
I started on these four just to try whether I can do it or not.
I realised that it was not that difficult and so…
I have yet to do more as school has started and my body aches everyday so in the evenings I tend to laze on the couch and wait for sleep to dawn on me.
I want to ask readers of this blog or my friends out there… should I try to list a few of my items on etsy again?
I did the last time but there was no sale at all and I find that I pale in comparison to others.
I do not have much confindence that is why I am seeking advise from you.
Thanks.
Finally, I am back on this crafting blog.
Crafting has been a challenge as time is rather limited. Tired most of the time. Brain juice not working very much due to tiredness.
There are so many projects floating in my brains and I really hope that these projects will materialise into something substantial. Well, time management had never been my forte.
Anyway, since I was sick away from work last Friday and then Aver fell sick too, I stayed home with her the whole weekend (and today and tomorrow too… she is still running a fever and a nasty cough.) So I used the time in my hands to do something.
I managed to cut out the fabric for a blouse for myself. Sewing will come later. I am hopeful that I can get it sewn by the end of this week.
Then I started to crochet… I had done the hearts earlier on before Valentine’s Day but I did not manage to complete the whole project. So I crochet the purple balls and I saw this necklace in my head. So I worked towards it.
At the third purple ball I was jinxed… I was cursed! I did the first two rows and all the stitches were in place. When I did the third row, I would end up with a stitch less. I undo that row, stitch by stitch, counting as I went. I was one stitch less! When I undid to the second row, my second row was also short of a stitch!!!! That I could not understand.
The situation happened for a total of three hours! Three hours, I sat to crochet the third ball, counted the stitches, undid the stitches, counted again, crochet again and lot onee stitch again… cut the yarn and started again… the cycle went on for a total of 3 hours.
I gave up and told Superpig that it is an indication that I need to rest. So I stopped and I refused to look at it till the sun went down and the sky turned dark. The curse was lifted and then the rest was history.
I realised one thing… I had been doing the wrong thing with amigurumi… my original outside is actually the inside and vice versa… DUH!!! DUH!!! DUH!!! Well, thanks to the many crocheter who posted video how-tos on youtube… I now know.
This necklace is a present for Ash to let her know that I love her.
Yes, I need to sincerely apologise to those who have joined the last blog giveaway.
Why?
Because I have yet to send out the packages yet. I must admit that I was busy with the princesses and trying to organise the ferrying of one child to childcare while trying to occupy the other as the school holiday is here. On top of that, I just recovered from a serious flu and so did the little princess. That is not all, the little princess is now down with Hand Foot Mouth Disease!!!! So she is to be at home for a week and that goes the same for me as I am her main caregiver when she is sick (or when Ash is sick too).
So unless I can convince Superpig to help me run to the post office, the packages will need to wait another week.
I promise once we are declared free to be out and about, I will head straight to the post office. I will also promise that your packages will be filled with more than the hair pin. (one week in the house… I have to find ways to keep myself sane…)
Hi All,
Sadly the response for this hunble giveaway is not very good.
However, I still like to thank four lovely readers out there who took the time to come browse and join in this giveaway.
Thank you very much as your comments and responses make it worth it.
Due to poor response, my princesses do not need to draw out the names as ALL are WINNERS.
So my email you mailing address to me at wengoh@gmail.com and I will start preparing the package to be sent out.
Cheerie,
Wen
Thank you for all the visitors who have came here and still do come here to see what I have been up to.
Although, I am still very “young” in this crafting world, I am happy that there are many who have given me countless encouragements.
This is what I have completed most recently … Crochet Flower Hairpins.
So please leave a comment here and on Monday, 20th October, my princesses will draw 5 of you… who knows there may be more … depending on how many the princesses decide to giveaway.
So, please join my second giveaway.
I am sorry for not responding to comments… I am so lousy at that.
It doesn’t mean that I do not value them… I do… I really really do…
It is just that I have not learnt the skill of time management so I am lousy at completing tasks.
Still, I love to hear from you and really enjoy visinting your blogs too.
To answer the question of the fabric label…
I got it done by a factory in Singapore. But I guess Etsy may have quite a few who provide good fabric labels.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Superpig’s colleague has been transferred to another department. According to him, she had been very nice to him when he first entered. She also a “packed lunch” person as she is on diet… salad diet.
So I decided to make her a bag for her lunch boxes (which are store bought) and I also collected some recipes and collated them to be given to her.

Here is the bag with the lunch boxes in it…

I hope she will like it.

What others have to say…
